Making lettering move

There’s definitely more demand these days for movement with design. Motion graphics and animated posts catch the viewers attention lots more than a static post. The below examples were all created in Procreate on the iPad using the animation feature. I wanted to try and retain a hand made feel to fit with how they were drawn. Each layer is redrawn slightly different to to last, similar to flick books you might have done as a kid. I just picked random words and lock-ups off the top of my head, drew the full full word and then used that as the main layer while tracing each section step by step.
